PROFESSIONAL
SUMMARY
Angela Hall Design
Owner, founded 2000
Combining function, cleverness, and elegant simplicity, Angela Hall's
jewelry designs are hand shaped works of art. Living and working
in Charleston, South
Carolina, Angela makes necklaces, bracelets, and rings using precious and
semi-precious stones, and fine metals. She earned a degree in Studio Arts
from The College
of Charleston and continued her education at The Savannah College of Art
and Design where she studied Jewelry and Metals. She travels the nation
in search
of the highest quality gemstones and metals to use in her creations. Chunky,
slender, sleek, or round, Angela allows the shape, texture, and color of
the gemstones to lead her to design the metal settings. Due to this process,
her
settings are as unique as the gemstone, and no two pieces are the same. "I
am fascinated and touched by the relationship between jewelry design and
the sentimental
attachments we place on them. I have come to accept the labor-intensive task
of creating a handmade piece of jewelry because this process gives each piece
a unique result." Angela enjoys the creative freedom of designing
her one-of-a-kind rings, necklaces, and bracelets, but also works with
individuals
to design the perfect piece for their needs. Her pieces embody simplicity,
clean lines, and a respect for the basic fundamental principals of design:
>Harmony,
technique, function, and balance;
>Jewelry as art;
>Metalwork as a process;
>Hand-crafted, not mere assembly;
>Wearable art;
>Original art; and
>Created from raw materials into a finished piece of wearable art.

what
she has done. And she still is serious about it.
